Astec Industries is committed to the safety of our employees, suppliers, stakeholders and their families. Several weeks ago we formed a Coronavirus task force which continually monitors information from our sites, government agencies and other sources. We consider the COVID-19 pandemic to be extremely serious and fluid.
With appropriate precautions, we continue to manufacture, sell and service our products. Our products are vital for building infrastructure used to get goods to market, facilitate the transportation needs of communities and provide jobs for thousands of people.
We ask that you practice good hygiene at all times. Frequent handwashing, social distancing and regular cleaning of commonly touched surfaces are practices deemed by the United States Center for Disease Control and Prevention to reduce health risks.
Internally we have enacted several policies to combat the virus and keep our employees and visitors safe. We have a new visitor’s policy, so please contact your representative at Astec Industries before scheduling a site visit. Our facilities have additional signage promoting healthy activities and good hygiene. All our locations are cleaning hard surfaces and frequently touched surfaces throughout the workday. Additionally, we have greatly reduced our business travel and are utilizing technology to meet virtually as business permits.
We will continue to communicate with you about COVID-19 and its impact on our company and wish you the best of health.

Protecting Our Employees
Our employee’s health and safety is a primary concern for Astec Industries. We have many employees working remotely and we continue to encourage anyone who can work remotely to do so. Working remotely minimizes the number of people at our sites and creates a safer environment for everyone. Those who must work on-site to support our customers by manufacturing, distributing parts, or through field service are encouraged to follow all new guidelines to ensure the safest work environment given the current situation.
Employees can visit the COVID-19 intranet portal for up-to-date information.
Maintaining a Healthy Workplace
Beginning March 6th, Astec Industries implemented new policies in our workplace to safeguard our employee’s health. These policies keep our workplace clean, provide a safe environment for our employees to work, and encourages employees to work remotely whenever possible. We also have a new visitor policy to further protect our workplace. Many of these items are listed on our timeline above and all of them are listed on our COVID-19 intranet portal. By working together to adhere to these new policies, our employee’s health and well-being are ensured, while we continue to support our customers.
