The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.
Oval stroke horizontal screens deliver high productivity and efficiency in a low-profile package.
The low screen height allows for operation in height-restricted areas and for maximum portability. The triple-shaft design employs an oval motion stroke pattern that generates an aggressive screening action, reducing plugging and blinding while providing extended bearing life. Multiple configurations are available for a wide range of applications, from fine screening to heavy scalping.
Applications
Aggregates
There are two main classes of aggregates: natural and manufactured. Deleterious material needs to be removed from both classes of aggregates. Processing these materials typically requires various steps including reduction and sizing and also may include dewatering and sorting. Producers can use a variety of crushing, screening, dewatering and conveying equipment to meet their desired specifications.
Concrete is one of the most recycled materials in the world that can be repurposed several times over. Once the existing concrete is demolished or torn up, it needs to be processed for accurate shaping and sizing using a crusher and screen.
Construction projects today depend on an available supply of quality concrete mix. With the most comprehensive line of concrete production equipment in the industry, Astec is ready to help meet that demand.
Construction aggregate is typically medium or coarse material that is used in construction applications. Processing this material may include reducing its size with a crusher, sizing the crushed material with a screen and conveying the material into different stockpiles.
Construction & Demolition Recycling (C&D) is mixed material associated with construction and demolition. The material could include wood, cardboard, plastic, metal, wire, roofing shingles, concrete and more. By separating and recycling different materials it reduces landfill use and tipping fees, while also producing value-added products.
Crushed stone is a versatile product that can be used in a wide range of applications from construction to road building and even agriculture. Processing this material may include reducing its size with a crusher, sizing the crushed material with a screen and conveying the material into different stockpiles.
The asphalt pavement industry has a long history of incorporating reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) into new asphalt pavement mix. In fact, Asphalt is America’s most recycled material making the asphalt industry is a leader in the use of recycled materials. Astec has a long history of building world-class tools to allow contractors and producers to collect and utilize this very valuable product.
Sand and gravel are aggregates that are gathered from naturally occurring deposits. These aggregates, when gathered, may contain clays, silts and other deleterious material that needs to be processed out for commercial-grade products. Reduction and sizing can be accomplished with a variety of crushers and screens. Once the material is accurately processed, it can be used for road building, construction materials and a variety of other applications.
