 American Augers introduces the industry's most powerful self-contained directional drill. The new DD-10™ made its public debut at UCT2001 in Houston. The DD-10 has 95,000 lb thrust/pullback force and 15,000 ft-lb of rotary torque powered by a 375 hp electronic diesel engine. The drill also has a 200 gpm mud pump on board. Fifteen-foot drill pipes are loaded and unloaded by a mechanical system controlled from inside the enclosed driller's cab which is equipped with heat and air conditioning. The DD-10 is intended for tough jobs in urban locations or other sites where space is at a premium. The drill is less than 29 feet long in transport mode.
